and Edward sit down with Amy Curry, Director of Morris County Historical
Society for a conversation in Acorn Hall in Morristown, New Jersey.
Acorn Hall is named for the three hundred year old oak tree formerly
standing on its property. Built in 1853 and remodeled in the Italian
Villa style in 1860, it was home to the Schermerhorn and, later, the
Crane-Hone families before becoming the headquarters of the Society in
Acorn Hall is on both the National and the New Jersey Registers of
Historic places. It's part of the New Jersey Women's Heritage trail and
is home to beautiful gardens, museum galleries with an extensive textile
collection, the Bulman library and Archives, and the Oakleaf Gift Shop.
